2027THE ROAD TO APAPA 2027
Representation should be visible in the everyday lives of the people. The campaign is built around listening, practical advocacy and measurable outcomes for residents, workers, traders and businesses across Apapa Federal Constituency.
See the priority agenda →Our strength is in our unity, participation and shared aspirations. We will build bridges of understanding and work together for a more resilient Apapa.
A PRACTICAL AGENDA
Clear priorities make leadership accountable. These themes can be refined into detailed policy commitments as the campaign releases its full manifesto.
Champion efficient port operations, fair trade practices, reduced bottlenecks and a better business environment for legitimate operators.
Advocate for safer roads, smarter traffic management and infrastructure that supports residents and the movement of goods.
Promote skills, apprenticeships, SME support and stronger links between local talent and opportunities created by Apapa's commercial ecosystem.
Support programmes that expand digital skills, employability, civic leadership and pathways from learning to meaningful work.
Back community-focused security, responsive public services and safer neighbourhoods where families and businesses can thrive.
Maintain accessible constituency engagement, regular listening sessions and transparent updates on legislative and constituency work.
MEET DR. BASIL
Dr. Basil Chudi Nwolisa is a maritime and trade advocate associated with the National Compliance Joint Task Force of Licensed Clearing Agents (NCJTFLCA). Public reporting has identified him as the organisation's National President, where he has spoken on port efficiency, multiple checks, corruption, trade facilitation and the cost of doing business.
That experience gives his campaign a practical lens on Apapa: a constituency whose wellbeing is tied closely to ports, logistics, commerce, transport, jobs and the quality of public infrastructure.
A VOICE FOR APAPA
For years, public discussion around Apapa has centred on congestion, high logistics costs, port inefficiencies and the pressure those problems place on households and businesses. The campaign's proposition is simple: take that lived experience into the Green Chamber and turn advocacy into legislative action.
