MEET DR. BASIL
Experience shaped by the realities of trade, work and community.
Dr. Basil Chudi Nwolisa brings to public service a background shaped by maritime trade, logistics advocacy and stakeholder engagement within one of Nigeria’s most economically strategic corridors. As National President of the National Compliance Joint Task Force of Licensed Clearing Agents (NCJTFLCA), he has been involved in advocacy around regulatory compliance, transparency, trade facilitation and the efficiency of Nigeria’s maritime and clearing environment.
His public interventions have addressed issues such as port operations, shipping and terminal charges, customs processes, corruption, trade costs and the pressures these challenges place on businesses, manufacturers, importers and exporters.
For Apapa Federal Constituency, that experience is particularly relevant. Apapa sits at the heart of Nigeria’s maritime, logistics and commercial activity, and the challenges of the ports are closely connected to jobs, mobility, infrastructure, business growth and the quality of life of surrounding communities. Dr. Nwolisa’s campaign is built around bringing that practical understanding into representation focused on accountable leadership, economic opportunity and measurable improvements for the constituency.
That experience gives his campaign a practical lens on Apapa: a constituency whose wellbeing is tied closely to ports, logistics, commerce, transport, jobs and the quality of public infrastructure.
